The UC Boxing Club is a student run club sport at the University of Cincinnati and is open to all UC students. The team was started in 2011 by UC students who had previously competed on the Cincinnati High School Boxing Team. The team trains at Cincinnati Fitness & Boxing, located less than 2 miles from the University of Cincinnati (see map below) and is coached by the CABC coaches.
The college boxing season runs primarily from October through March. During the season, select team members are able to compete in National Collegiate Boxing Association (NCBA) and United States Intercollegiate Boxing Association (USIBA) boxing shows and tournaments. The UC Boxing Club has had members compete in both of these organizations’ National Tournaments, including winning the USIBA National Championship.
For the 2017-2018 season, conditioning sessions will begin at Nippert Stadium in September and practices will be begin at Cincinnati Fitness & Boxing in October. Specific dates will be announced soon.
